Hi Gang- I recently finished upgrading my bedroom TV to a Samsung 26" LCD. In the process of getting the excellent Samsung digital picture, we gained another storage compartment where the huge RCA footprint was and now the LCD can articulate 100% towards us rather than having to look at it from the side as the OEM install was. I am not quite finished yet, I will build a shelf for the DVD player and clean up the wiring, but it is a really improvement and the cabinet space gained is significant.

First picture shows the Samsung in traveling mode. 1" dense foam rectangle covered with black material over orginal Monaco door frame. the straps are covered and padded luggage straps.

2nd pic: LCD in fully extended articulated position. We were looking at the RCA monument at a 30 degree angle.

3rd pic: inside the new storage cabinet-- lots of new room to add weight to eat up gas mileage. Need to build elevated shelf for 1080P DVD player and bundle wiring....next week.

Great job Regel. You are right there is a ton of storage in the cabinet when you get rid of the old RCA TV. Plus, when deployed to a 45 degree angle it was hard to see. When we upgraded to a larget TV in the LR we repositioned the 26" Sharp to the bedroom. Because the speakers were on the side of the Sharp it was very wide so it now sits on the shelf on top of the drawers. Had to build a stand for the Sharp

Good job and very innovative.
