Bedroom slide makes pop pop noise
On our 2003 Safari Sahara the bedroom slide makes a clunk/clunk when it is at the end of normal travel,This is normal, but now it does it in mid travel, like it is binding,is there an adjustment for this?
On our old moho when this happened I could make a very slight adjustment on the potentiometer and that fixed the problem.

Most likely the nylon guides for the bottom rails it travels on need spraying with a silicone spray. They are grabbing and releasing so you get a pop. I spray all mine about once every six months.

Well today in put the slide in and from the hallway I was able to get under the bed and was looking right at the motor and shaft,I used HD silicone on all the moving parts,at the end of the motor I think were the clutch is,there is a Allen set/adjuster stud with a lock nut on it.I think this is to adjust when the clutch should slip or make the clunk clunk noise, anyone know for sure?
Anyway after I lubed all the moving parts and the rubber seals on both sides and the bottom the slide works great.

Phil, are you saying you had the slide out or you had it in to see and spray everything under it?

Phil, if you are talking about a jack screw type mechanism that operates the slide, that is what I have on my bedroom slide. When it is out I can lift the bed and see the screw extended, and lube it with silicone when it is out. When closed the screw is not exposed. The motor has a gearbox that I have never noticed any way to lube.
My slide makes the clunking noise when fully extended or closed. That is the clutch releasing due to pressure limits caused by full or closed extension and is normal on my coach.
