The black latches in the closet bottom that open the door to the engine won't stay down and latched. I have trimmed the carpet around them but that didn't help. Do I hold the button down to get the latch to catch? Thanks for the help!

While holding the latch down, turn the phillips screw (on the latch) 90 deg. CW which will hold the latch down........

And further, take the closet bottom panel out, turn it over and note the latch(s) are adjustable.....

I realized that I am missing the middle piece inside the latch on all 4 of them. I know that because I compared them to the black latches with screws on them. The closet ones do not have a screw. I'll have to see if I can find the gray circular piece that fits in the latch or buy whole new latches,
