Black Tank Flush Hose Connection

I have a hose connection on the side of my black tank where a hose is connected and supposedly flushes the inside of the tank. Every time I flush and disconnect the hose there is a lot of clean water that comes back out of the connection. Is this normal or is something partially clogged? If clogged is the connection replaceable and/or fixable? Also does the spray inside the tank (if working normally) cover all the tank walls?

P.S. Taking another step towards getting the sensors to work!!

I had the same concerns you express Dmason till I looked into it.

On my coach the Flush connector is below the tank in a panel.. It makes you think "What' draining back"

The answer is clear water.

When I removed another panel, for other reasons, I found the hose from the connector runs up, way up, to a vacuum breaker, and a 2nd line then goes to "The FLusher" which is about the worst tank flush device ever invented.. But that's another story.

What is draining back is the water in that first hose, from the connector you see, to the vacuum breaker/back flow preventer higher up in the rig.

Mine does the same thing, some water comes back out when I disconnect the hose. I use a quick disconnect with an on off valve, so I shut the valve on the end of the hose first then quick disconnect from the fitting on the panel. That way if the back flow preventer is faulty no water goes back into the hose. Once I disconnect the quick connect there is a short back flow of water just like you noticed.
