Blank Coolant Filter

Hi guys, Has anyone with DETROIT 60 that changed their radiator fluid to OAT
found a source for a blank, (No additives added) to replace their coolant filter?
Thanks, Jake

I did that when I switched to ELC coolant.

Some say to just remove the external filter and hoses (plug the block/head openings) - which then gives you a few feet less hose to break in the future.

But I decided to just install a "blank" filter for now. Plus some coolant filtration wont hurt anything. My Coach used the CAT 9Y-1022 "supplemental coolant filter" which crosses to a WIX 24073 (with DCA charge) and then to a WIX 24070 "no-charge" filter.

Since you have a Detroit engine your coolant filter base may be different. Start with the DD filter number and cross it to Wix, then look for the non-charge filter.

I went to a Racor dealer and they had a filter which is just a filter (no additive).

Good luck
Dave

non sca filter

Thanks Dave & Mike O'reilly cross-referenced my donaldson charge filter & we came up with a wix 24070. The Detroit 60 uses the same filter as the Cat. Have a blessed day, Jake
