Blower Motor - No high speed

Heater/AC blower motor stopped working recently on high speed in my 94 Monaco Executive, works ok at all lower speeds. I'm told there's a resistor that could be the problem, but I'm sure if it's located under the dash inside or out in front area over the generator. Has any one had to replace one?

Just backwards. If the resistor was bad, you would lose all slower speeds. You have a blown fuse for high speed.High speed has its own separate fuse.
the fuse is usually under the hood.

Duh! that's makes perfect sense, seems I replaced that same fuse 3 or 4 years ago, just have to remember where it's located.

Spent considerable time in pass few days trying to locate blower high speed fuse with no luck, nothing labeled blower in forward outside electric panel, no fuses on bulk head in engine compartment. In checking, fuse I changed was blower in my previous gas burner coach. Any thought/idea where this fuse is located?

When you find it, replace it with a fuse that is 5A higher rating.
Fuses are not precision devices. 5 amps more will still blow if a short happens.

50 Amps more might blow if a short happens, but it wont stop a wire from over heating and starting a fire! 5 Amps could be a BIG Percentage overkill.

Several things to consider. First, someone may have previously put in a smaller wire.

The wire gauge is likely 14ga, which has a average recommended current of 32amps for chassis wiring. Even if it was 16ga, the rating is still 22 amps.

You will not be melting any insulation by bumping 5 amps.

On our workhorse chassis Challenger, the fuse was simply in the wire loom directly above the battery. When I did find it somebody had put the fuse in incorrectly and it was not in the clips, we had to replace the entire holder as it had melted from this.

Finally got hold of Monaco Tech today, they state only 1 fuse for all blower speeds, but 2 resistors, 1 for high speed and one for all other speeds, they are suppose to be located in front up above generator compartment. Will post what the out come is.

I have replaced several resistor banks and they were located in the plenum, the ductwork of the heater. Look for a plug going into what appears to be a removable patch of the plenum and there you go. Remove that patch, typically four screws, and the underside is a bunch of resistors which receive cooling from air movement within the plenum.

Located resistors in heater box, but in going thru some wiring schematics Monaco sent me some years ago I came across this blower wiring which shows a high speed blower relay in the system, I believe that to be my problem. Fax I received from Monaco is poor quality and the relay location is unreadable. My front electrical has labels for fuses, but nothing for the 7 relays so I don't know which controls what, so far Monaco hasn't been able to come up with that either. Has anyone got labels for these relays?

This is coming from my old memory cells, but a few years ago I had to replace the blower motor on my coach. Taking the dash apart was a real ordeal. Once I got into the dash, I noticed a Bosch relay hidden in there up against the firewall. Bill Duckwitz, the man who founded the Yahoo Monacoers group advised me that this was the relay that controlled the high speed of the dash blower motor. He advised me to replace that relay and move it to a place where it was easily accessible. So, I replaced it with a new one and moved that new relay to a location outside of the dashboard.

You are right on the money my friend. I recalled I had replaced a fuse or relay for this same issue years ago, but at 76 you get forgetful. I had looked every place except behind the dash cluster, mine is very easy to remove (about a 2 min job) and there it was. Going to bench check that and the resistor today, a point to note, in checking for the resistor on line a company that carries it as a Monaco part list the price as $118, but this exact resistor was used on E 150 ford vans from 1988 to about 1999 and sells for about $45 also going to replace head light sw before long, high dollar if associated with Monaco, but only about $15 at Auto Zone same as Chevy p/u trucks around 1965 to 1975

Reading the above post makes me wonder if I have a bad relay in my 2003 Silverado. The heater/AC fan works fine on all speeds except high. I was thinking the high speed on the switch had simply burned out.
Can any one tell me where the relay or resister is please?
