Broke Mirrored Closet Door how many years bad luck!!!!

I was replacing wheels and adjusting a closet door and broke the mirror on the other closet door. I had the other door leaning up against the slide across from the bed with aluminum channel undone so that I could replace the vinyl glazing that has failed allowing the mirror to drop in the channel and warp. I slipped coming out of the closet, forgot about the step down area between the engine cover and slide floor...my shoulder took out the mirror. Just when my todo list was getting smaller I make work for myself and who knows how much bad luck!!! I will try to find a mirror local and contact Shower Enclosure of America the manufacturer of these doors. Happy New Year!

I would expect that any local glass/mirror shop should be able to cut a mirror to fit - and probably mount it to the door for you.

That’s what I hope happens. It needs to have a vinyl backing. I just took the cracked one out of the coach and put it in a plastic drop cloth, jumped on it to break it up, I ended up folding it up..good vinyl!!

Mirrored doors

Hi,
If you were near Northeast Tennessee, I have both doors, including track, that I would give you. I removed them from my 2007 Holiday Rambler. Nothing wrong with them. I totally remodeled our rear bedroom closet, and made wooden closet enclosure, with stained glass inserts in the doors.
I'm afraid that they would get broken if they were shipped. And, with their size and weight, it would be very costly to ship them.

Good luck

I had a similar situation in April 2016. I broke on of the bedroom closet mirror doors in my DS. Took the pieces to a local glass shop I dealt with before. Perfect replacement job, $75.00 out the door (no pun intended). I didn't even try and price a new one from Newmar.

I suggest a sacrifice to the RV gods. A complete remodel of the interior might suffice.

Thanks for the offer, to bad you aren’t closer. Would love to see a picture of your closet upgrade!

I think the sacrifice is the cost of the new mirror and vinyl glazing.
