C9 Cat Engine coolant hose Replacement

I blew my top coolant hose on my C9 cat engine, see photos. Number stamped into the hose is 1297 49602. Cat unable to identify this number. One end opening is 2.25" and other end is 2.5". Anyone with a C9 engine help me find the correct hose? Currently using a Napa hose but both ends are 2.25" so one end is stretched. Will also post on Cat forum.

I was told Cat did not supply the radiator or hoses. The chassis manufacturer did. Freightliner knew my hose numbers and Was able to supply the replacements.

Roadmaster is the chassis manufacture and they no longer exist.

Might be a little short but will give them a call tomorrow and see what centerline radius is.

You have lots of options to find that hose. You could call gates tech support. Visit a good napa store. Some of the catalogs list molded hose by size and degrees of angle. You could go into a Beaver forum and ask. You could call REV. Be proactive.

Have a hose coming tomorrow and hopefully it’s a match, if not will get you the engine serial number. I tried cat initially but they weren’t able to help. Fingers crossed hose is a match.

Can't say I've ever heard of a hose that changed inside dia from one end to the other .

I found a Napa hose number and that cross referenced to a Gates hose number that does exactly that. Thought it was going to be here today but looks like it will arrive tomorrow.

What puzzles me is the numbers stamped on the old hose were unable to be referenced to a valid hose makers product.

Got the hose and length and end openings are a match, so I'm in business. If anyone else ends up needing this hose for a C9 Cat engine in a Beaver Contessa the hose number is NBH 8013 at Napa or G 21302 which is a Gates hose. Think I'm going to carry a spare as this is kind of an oddball one to find if broke down on the road.
