Cable operated dump valves

I recently attempted to service my leaky black tank valve but could not see any way to access it. I removed the valve / water control panel to see them. I bought a cable snake camera to see from inside but the 90* corner won't let it turn. Another genius design!
What kind of engineer puts a 6 ft. cable that arcs all the way around to the far side frame rail and connects to the valve on the back side with nowhere near enough room to squeeze to service or replace it?! I am sure it needs a new seal or clean-out.
With all of the other plumbing both fresh and waste you can't get there. There is no top access unless the floor is taken up and cut. The sides are behind the rear axle, behind the battery compartment and behind the fuel tank.
I purchased an add-on extra valve (Valterra?) but it isn't intended to be kept on long term and when I hook up my hose the valve wants to become detached which defeats its purpose. I am going to drill and screw it to the outlet pipe so no more stinky surprises.
Just venting my aggravation.

Does the compartment behind the passenger-side rear wheels look like this?

I'm dealing with the same issue on my 2006 Monaco Monarch. I have a bay that looks like the picture you posted. Can you share why you asked? I'm assuming there must be some sort of access via that bay.

TJR-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

The picture is from a sales posting for a 2004 HR Vacationer 36WDD, the same model and year coach belonging to "vacatiner04." Our 2008 HR Admiral 30PDD has a similar compartment. The HR Admiral is a "twin" to the Monaco Monarch.

On our 2008 30PDD, there is a metal access panel in the upper-inside of the right-hand compartment in that picture. Remove it, and a small person can access the black and grey tank valves.

I got tired of issues with the cables, so I rebuilt the sewer drain piping. Now, both valves are directly in front of the operator, between the bottom edge of the white panel and the access plate in the floor. The cables are gone; the cable-operated valves could not be removed (easily), so they remain, blocked open.

Thanks for the information. I haven't decided yet if it's worth the trouble trying to get access to the valves. I added a twist on valve that works ok for now. I just recently purchases a 2006 Monaco Monarch 30PDD on a workhorse chassis. I'm not new to rv's as this makes my 8th. I've had 1 travel trailer, 2 fifth wheels, 3 class A's and 2 class B's. I recently sold my 2017 Winnebago Travato class B and decided to go back to a class A again.

Not a direct answer, but my coach originally had electric valves mounted horizontally even though the ONLY warning in the instruction that came with them from the manufacturer to Monaco said "ONLY INSTALL VERTICALLY".

Naturally they failed almost immediately and the first owner replaced them with manual valves and remote cables from the driver side snaked through the belly to the passenger side where the valves are.

They never closed properly (really hard to push a wire through a tube that far against resistance) and the Monaco dealer labeled them backwards (just 'cause) so I removed the remote wires (actually still there, just disconnected) and put plain handles on them when I put new valves in.

If you dump at a dump station you have to move back and forth around the coach, but when I'm on sewer it is nice that I can dump from the side I'm normally on. Since we have a washer/dryer and continuos hot water (long showers) daily dumping is a thing.
