camera adjustment

2010 Monaco Diplomat 42 SKQ Rear camera shows the hood of my truck and a little of the roof. My previous MH could "see" further back so that when passing a vehicle I could see when it was clear to pull back in. Have not been able to see a way to adjust the camera. Suggestions please.

My 09 Safari has buttons on the monitor for adjusting the camera angle. They are labeled up and down.

It sounds like your are in back up view. It's not going back to drive view. The camera motor may be stuck. I took my camera and opened it up while on a ladder. I plugged in all the connections again inside the camera. It's been working ever since.

Since my coach was new I could only see my toad. I thought that it was designed that way so I couldn't see the traffic lined up behind me. deSanford PS it does provide less stress that way.

Well I'm sure that isn't right. The fixed cameras look out the rear for traffic. If you get it working. It makes passing cars much easier.

Sanford, When our Endeavor was new I changed the camera housing to a Ambassador model with a better angle so we can see two cars behind the Jeep. I informed Monaco in 07 but they made no changes.

My 07 neptune monitor has a button to adjust the camera up or down. All the way up and i can see a long way back, like several hundred feet or more. Turned down and i can see maybe 4 feet back.

I don't think I have a "button" to move the rear camera up or down, but I will look closely again. One time when I was going on a freeway on ramp I looked at my monitor and my toad was NOT there. I panicked momentarily then it showed back up. That's when the turn signal switched the camera off the toad. Now it is funny...........deSanford

camera adjustment

My 2010 Monaco Diplomat 42 SKQ is equipted with a Zone Defense camera. Tried everything but camera only shows full view when in reverse. A factory rep. here in St Petersburg told us the bracket was proberly not the correct one and he has a replacement we can have, No Zone Defense service in area. I will pick up new bracket and see if it works. Still does not sound right to me, Would appreciate any help.

You are right my camera shows a Zone Defense and lots of area behind the coach. Going forward I just see the front of my toad. deSanford

I solved the problem re camera coverage. I installed a wireless camera as a second system and took the power from the OEM camera to power the second camera. I have a 7 in monitor rigged for the dash so both driver and Navigator can readilly see everything behind. Both cameras and monitors are on all the time I am driving.

I have the OEM camera focused on the hitch and the front of the toad and the wireless camera with a higher view to see back to the horizon. The second camera views 170 degrees in the horizontal direction so I can really see what is coming up from behind and when it is absoultly clear to cut back in after passing a vehicle.
