Camera Woes

I am in the market for a better camera system. Recently in the middle of the night the screen in the bedroom came on without any activation by DW or myself. It also will only show the passenger side of the coach. Also, the screen in the cab will not show the driver's side when the left turn signal is activated.

Is there an available plug and play system that is worth while? Or even better, is there a system that does not need all the wiring currently used?

This has probably been talked to death, but have trouble negotiating the history files.

Thanks in advance !

Try Rob at RV Cams: Backup Camera Systems (All). Good people, good free advice and he will bench test your unit at no cost, except postage. I bought from him 2 years ago and it works fine. He is not a fan of wireless units.

Russ, the problems you are experiencing are more likely to be wiring-related than the cameras themselves, but cameras do fail...

Corrosion at connection points and mechanical fatigue are the most common failures.

The other possibility is a grounding problem with the dash unit or elsewhere in the system.
