So sad. Hope your insurance is good to you.

Man, Sorry for your loss !!

I'm also interested in which refrigerator, as I have a NDA1402, and also, whether you had fired it up on propane, or elec.

Carl & Barb, sorry for your loss, but please remember, in the long run, it's just stuff, and stuff can be replaced. No one was hurt.
Our refer is across from the galley, next to the dinette.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Bill - I do remember you from the rally. Hope you're doing well

It was a Norcold. I will post more pics and info as time goes by.

We hope things get resolved in a timely manner so we can get back on the road. Due to a crazy year at work, we didn't get as much use as we wanted this year. Next year "was" going to be better. Hopefully still will be.

Like a few have commented... No one got hurt. That's the main thing.

Carl

Funny... we go out and take tons of photos, but could find very few of the RV. This past July after a wash and wax.

Sorry for your loss. It was a beautiful coach!
I found charred areas behind our Norcold last year. Wouldn't have known if I hadn't removed it.

Beautiful! And there's another one out there waiting for you to put your personal touch on.

Wonder why same year, same model, one coach has a Norcold fridge, the other a Dometic .
In that year, was the Dometic 1402 an option .
Again, really sorry for your loss ! I see your looking for a replacement .
Personally, I'd be looking at coaches between 500 and 600hp, giving preference to those in the 500 and 525hp range, due to the issues with the 600 and higher hp Cummins engines.

Carl, we’re so sorry about your coach. Hopefully y’all can find another that will be as nice. Took us a while but we finally found one we love.
On a side note that fire looks worse than any 42 transmitter fire I ever saw!

I hate to see that, hopefully things get handled quickly for you!

We always take a picture of RV in the site when we're camping, after we've set up. Even if it's a place we've been before, even if it's the same site we've been in before. If we don't take any other pictures, we take that one.
It's always just seems 'right' to do that. Now maybe I know why.

We purchased our 07 Camelot new -- It was already on a dealer lot, so I don`t know if the Dometic was an option -- If it was an upgrade, we really got ripped off -- It never worked right, & after 4 years, I replaced it with a Samsung -- Not because of the fire danger, but because of the junk Dometic -- Bill Willard

Was the fridge in a slide? Just trying to wrap my head around how it could get so hot in such a short time.
I have read that fridges mounted in a slide are more prone to fires due to the venting. Could that have been the case, or some other cause?
If it wasn't in a slide, was there some kind of a propane leak or ?
Happy Glamping.

That made me laugh.... Thanks

I never seen a 42 or a 44A look that bad. Even when someone forgot a ground ward inside. When were you around? I did LORAN 79-06....

Loranimal,

I’m very sorry to see such a gorgeous coach destroyed. It really makes me feel sick.

Just as others have said, thankfully no one got hurt. It is a blessing that you or your family were not inside when it happened.

It can be replaced, you can’t
