You could tell us what your coach is.
Some earlier monacos had a bar that went into a hole and adjusted to keep the slide out from moving while on the road. I got rid of mine in last coach the hyd pumps kept it from moving at all.

Hey Dave --That would be for your slide Locks go into !!!! They have a scewing
section on that end with about a 3" x 2" rubber pad on the slide side that extends as you tighten by hand in the middle. So that the slide stays in while driving!!!!Hope this helps!!!!
kind of looks like the ones on PPL parts page!!!!

I have the same lock point on my Scepter for the big left front slide. I recently found the locking bar that Spa48 described under the bed still in the wrapper unused by the previous owner. Some people don’t move without them in place and others never use them. As I’ve worked through some slide drive issues recently and have started contemplating all the things that put stress on various components when in motion, I’m going to start using mine. When I think of the mass of the slide supported only at the bottom by the rails when these coaches sway from side to side I’m thinking it sure couldn’t hurt...

Can someone show me the tool that operates the locks. I might have to manufacture one.

I’m thinking it is a rod with a forked end that inserts into the hole and you turn it. I suppose it’s like a door dead bolt. Probably turn it towards the slides.

Dave-
Monaco sold me a slide lock, not long ago. If it wasn't dark out, I'd go look at the manufacturer and model on the label.

Dave,
Here are a few photos and information for you.

This one on ebay does not have the pin on one end but will work for you.

Maybe they don't make the ones I have anymore.

Dave-
Here is a link to two used "Extend-A-Vise" slide locks that have the pin at one end.
For adjustable-length bars, make sure their minimum and maximum lengths fit your application.

If you can't find your slideout lock-bars, check underneath your dinette drawers (remove the drawers). That's where I found mine after about a year of coach ownership.
