Carefree Awining power loss - 2009 Monaco Camelot

Back on 2018 kovalsmt posted a message seeking assistance with his Carefree awning. Saturday evening my Carefree awning control panel showed no power. It's due to those who responded to kovalsmt's I was able to get mine working.

Basically the control panel showed no power. Fortunately I had the manual to the Carefree awning and immediately set out to find the control box. I looked for over an hour then finally turned to Google for help. It's due to the response of other Monaco owners I was able to locate the control box above the passenger seat in the small cabinet - behind a fake wall. There was no power to the outlet the box was plugged into.

I ran an extension cord from the kitchen to the control box and still no go. I tested for power on the extension cord and it wasn't there - in fact there was no 110V to any outlets. Because all the 12V lights were working it took me a minute to think there must be a GFC outlet "somewhere" and maybe it had tripped.

I found the GFC outlet in the bathroom and indeed it needed reset. Once I did that power was restored to the 110V outlets - and thus the Carefree outlet.

Thanks again to the contributions everyone makes. Finding the control box would have been impossible if it were not for contributors to this forum. Discovering the GFC outlet needed reset was a hunch on my part. Hopefully if this happens to you, you can work through getting it resolved following posts on this forum.
