Carefree of Colorado Relay
Hello,
I have an 04 Diplomat and I can not find the relay for the carefree awning. There is no electricity going to the motor and the fuse is good, there must be a bad relay but it is not in the electrical box with all the fuses and other relay's. If someone knows where it is located please let me know. Thanks

In my 06 Endeavor there is a relay located behind the dash near the awning extend retract switch.

My extend switch is located in a cabinet above the side entrance door, I pulled the switch out and no relay was noticed inside the the cabinet. Still looking.

It might help if you provided the year of the coach. Then you might get responses from someone with the same make, model and year.

Hansville......I went out to my coach and checked for the relays. In the cabinet (front cap), just forward of your two interior awning switches you should have a box that looks looks this.
I took the lid off and it looks like it has two small relays inside.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the photos, it does help. I called care free and they told me how to check out the motor by hooking up jumper cables from a car battery to posts that are wired directly to the motor. I did that and the motor is bad. The next step is to use my extened warantee to get them to pay for the repair. I hope that goes well.

Well if they will not pay for motor replacement, take the motor to an auto parts store and see if they can match it to a window lift motor, most likely a driver's side window lift from a ford product.
