Cargo Bay Door fell off

I opened my drivers side main bay door this am and the top portion just fell out of the hinge. It has the inter locking extrusions and swings up. No pop or anything it just came out. Nothing looks bent or damaged and I see no way to put it back without removing the trim and hinge rail. There is no flexing it is solid.

My brain says since it fell out I should be able to line it up just right and pop it back in. Has anyone done this? I have a trip next week so I have to do something tomorrow and to do it right, as best I can tell, I have to remove the trim rail all the way to the rear of the bus and remove 5 doors and 2 panels. There is a riveted panel halfway back but I don't know if the trim rail is split there. If it is I would have to reinstall it with the two doors and 1 panel already in place.

Any advice is appreciated

Can you post some pictures??

I had to remove doors to repair. First time my wife got too close to a post at fuel station and pancaked the hinge on two of the doors but surprisingly very little damage to the doors but I had to buy both pieces of the hinge system. In 2013 I was able to buy the door side piece from Monaco and had to buy a used piece that attaches to the side of the motorhome from Visione RV Salvage. Paid more for a 7' piece of the used vs a 14' piece of new. Monaco cut the 14' piece into shorter pieces to make it easier to ship. https://revrvparts.com/item-detail?i...ganizationId=9

Last time I had to remove 3 doors starting with the wet bay door.

On mine there was a rivet installed in the extrusion attached to the side of the motor home, these are to keep the doors from sliding.

I just removed one door at a time and slide them back.

The extrusions are male female type fit. I guess it's possible for either side to become deformed a little to allow the two to come apart. If you have to remove more then one door you should be able to see if there is a problem. Might be able to gently pound the lips of the pieces together a little to make a tighter fit.

On some of the top hinge doors the movable part nests inside the fixed part. If you raise it higher than normal it will come out of the inverted C channel. The remedy is to hook it back while lifting the door higher than normal, then lower it. Here is one style of that hinge.

Yea mine are a little more curved than that. I will be attempting a repair tomorrow. Hopefully with a second set of hands the solution will become more obvious.
Thanks to all and Merry Christmas !

Well the door actually lifted back into the channel and set in place. I'm certain that it shouldn't so a little physical motivation (hammer) will be coming soon to make sure it doesn't happen again. I still don't see what random motion I made to cause it to come off after opening this door at least a thousand times before but I'm going to leave well enough alone till after out trip. I don't think I need anything out of that compartment while we are gone and if I do I can come through from the other side. Thanks again for the input !

Cargo Door fell off

I had my basement water door top pop out and was able to push in the 2 shocks while re-seating the top hinge in place.
