Cargo Door Supports

Why do the battery and run compartment doors not use the same gas spring the rest of the cargo doors use? The catches that hold mine open are rusting and need replaced. Is there any reason not install gas springs?

They also probably felt that the doors would not be opened often so no need for the cost.

They also open on my coach differently and much father than any with a gas shock.

Just a thought.

I can barely service the chassis battery on the top tray now. If I had struts it would difficult.
