Cargo Heater

I'm looking for a circuit board for a "Cargo Heater" brand cargo/bay heater.
Checked everything else. This seems like the only thing left.
Will the tank heaters work while the cargo heater is not installed?
Any help appreciated.

Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year to All

Cargo bay Heater

Wolf, Do You need a circuit board or do You need the thermal inline fuse?
Take You meter and check the thermal in line fuse and see if You have conductivity going in and coming Out if You do then it might be Your
circuit board.

Hi Phil. I checked the thermal fuse. It checked fine. To make sure I bypassed it and still nothing. The only thing that I can think of is thr circuit board is not letting power go to the heater etc. Thanks Wolf

Do you have 12 VDC to the circuit? Have you placed a jumper across the snap disk to force the heater come on? There is a fuse or circuit breaker somewhere and it may be in the battery compartment with the slideout controls.

cargo heater

Hi Bob I have the unit out of the coach sitting on my work bench. I ran 12 volt from a battery pack directly to the red (hot) and white leads (neutral)on the heater harness. Nothing. I ran direct current to both (hot) to the black and red leads and neutral to the white wire. Nothing. Ran hot to the black neutral to the white. Nothing. I'm out of ideas. Hope someone on the site might have something else to try. Thanks Wolf

Wolf........to answer your OP question. If you can read the part number on the existing circuit board you may be able to find a replacement via Dinosaur Electronics. I'm really guessing as I've never had to buy a circuit board for a cargo heater. Good luck.

Thanks. I'll check for numbers tomorrow and give Dinosaur a call. I'm surprised no one has replacements. At least I haven't been able to find one. Do you know if the tank heater pads work without the cargo heater being connected? Thanks Again to all who replied.

I have nothing but a guess which is I can't see why the heater situation would have any impact on the tank heater pads.

cargo heater

I have the same exact heater in my Polaris Ranger. I'll have to try it in the MH. Do you know if this would hook up to the existing wiring and work with the snap disk to be temperature controlled. Or would it have to be wired on an on off only switch.
I think I got mine at Wally World.

I believe the heating pads (if you have them because they are an option) will work with the heater out as long as the system heat switch is in the on position. Here is a schematic of the system heat in our coach. It is most likely the same in yours.

Hi. I've worked on my system and know it well
When you turn on the switch inside the coach it powers up the heat tank pads, if you have them by activating a relay. It also sends power to the snap thermal switch. When the temperature goes below 41 to 35 it closes the snap thermal switch and powers the internal relay inside the heater which allows the high amp 12v supply to turn on the heater. When the temp goes above the snap thermal limit it shuts off the heater but the heating pads remain on till the inside switch turns off

If your bay heater is not coming on it's because it's too warm out. You can short the two wires on the snap thermal switch and that should turn on your bay heater.
I hope that helps.
Rick

Rick,

He has the heater out of the coach and on the workbench. He has applied 12 VDC directly to the heater so the snap disk is not in the circuit. He has also placed a short across the thermal fuse to eliminate that. Sounds like the internal relay is bad or some other device on the circuit board internal to the heater. He gave this information in post #5 in answer to my questions.
