CAT 525 Radiator Replace
Hello
Our 2005 Beaver Patriot Thunder fan disintegrated and took out our radiator. Has this happened to anyone else. How much is a reasonable cost for repair (no Hours repair) and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles.
Did the fan blades just come off, or did the hydraulic motor that the fan is mounted to come apart?
If the fan drive motor failed it's going to be a lot more expensive.
A radiator is around $2200 to $2700. There is also the Charge-Air-Cooler (CAC) mounted on top/front of radiator. Hopefully both were not damaged.

The fan is probably another $400.
Can you post a picture of the damages.?

Sorry to hear something like this, and being your first post.
When mine went south I got mine here
https://radiatorsupplyhouse.com/ and my daughter also for there Monaco and shipped to Alaska.
You might give them a call and get a price.

CAT Radiator Replace
I,m so glad I found this site. Your info has helped us a great deal. My husband and I are trying to get ready for our retirement years so we purched our 2005 Beaver (which we love) 11 months ago. we have not put 400 miles on it when this happened. The coach only has 23,000 miles on it total. I feel better just knowing I can come to this site for questions as our journey countinues. I keep you posted on the impending repairs. Thank you !!!!

If you can provide more detail or post photos of the damages, we may be able to provide better guidance. Good luck with the repairs.
Also, you may want to consider joining the Beaver Ambassador Club (BAC) so you will access to their technical library and expert advice. But it does cost to join and you have to be a FMAC member. https://beaveramb.org/

Good luck. In the meantime I better check my fan assembly - as we have the same coaches, so I could be next.

I guess I'm lucky. Mine's been replaced twice already by the previous owner. The second time they put the assembly on that flowed in the right direction!

What steps do you take to check a fan assembly? My fan appears nearly impossible to access without removing a whole lot of stuff.

We (Op and I) have "side" mounted radiators with a hydraulic motor driven fan.
So we (I) can reach in and grab the fan blade and see if it has any movement/looseness. It is also not to hard to do a visual inspection of the hyd motor mounting by just looking through the engine compartment hatch - but I'll go under the coach too for a closer look from the bottom.
That's why I want to see how OPs fan failed (i.e broken pump mount, broken fan blade, etc.) so I can be sure to look closely at that failure point.

Thanks.... we both have Patriot Thunders with side radiators so I will try doing the same. But it’s extremely hard to get under my coach right now. This fall I am going to do a cutout so I can back the coach over it and stand under the engine compartment. And... we are headed to Branson, MO in a couple weeks for a BAC rally. Hope to see you there!

I made some wood ramps. That gets back end up about 6 or 8 inches. Once I'm under the body panels, there is usually plenty of room under the coach.

CAT 525 Radiator
Well here are the pictures. To compound matters the shop where it's at damaged our rig awning, fender side panel and now one slide out won't deploy and the other side sounds like metal to metal. They have said they will make it right
