Ceiling Fan Start/Stop

My Rambler has 2 of these, one in front, the other back in the bedroom. They both work fine but seem to have a mind of their own. Now it seems the vent hood outside cover must be open to about midpoint and then they come on, sometimes? When they don't, I walk away, come back later and they running. Is there something I don't know? Like a thermal switch/moisture switch or just a gremlin playing at me?
Checked manual/internet and nothing about this for a solution?

A while ago, I asked a question wondering what this thermostat was (see attached picture). I found out that this controlled the Fantastic fan in our kitchen area; I assume you have one or two of these in your rig.

If you have the same device, if you put the lever all the way to the bottom it will turn off the auto fan.

Do you the make/model of the fans.

I have 1 fan, it has a temperature control that will start/stop the fan based on temp. There is a rotary switch that you can adjust the temp with.

Ya, I have one of those. Always wondered what it was for? Have a control for the heat pumps and the propane furnace but this one was a mystery to me. I'll give it a try when back in Canada next month. Thanks guys

When we first bought our 2005 Cayman about 6 months ago, I read every page of the almost 400 page manual. I may have missed it, but I didn't see anything about this system in the manual.

Only by asking on this forum did I figure out its function

Thanks for the info. Was exactly that. I can now control the fan when and how I want.

Thanks again. Great having this forum to learn the "how to".
