Can I swap out the fluorescent light bulbs in the ceiling of 2005 Monaco Monarc
with LED bulbs?

Yes. But you have to bypass the ballast. http://m4products.com sells many different 12v LED bulbs.

I'm not aware of any product that you can just remove the florescent bulbs and replace with LED bulbs. You'll need to disconnect, and/or remove, the ballasts. I've taken the fixtures completely out and replaced with LED puck lights. My florescent plastic fixture lenses were cracking and yellowing.

Lots of threads and discussions regarding that.

As others have said, you can replace the florescent bulbs with LED round bulbs, but many of us have gutted the fixtures and installed LED strips, which is a much less expensive way to solve the problem. Below is the way I did it. Maybe it will give you some ideas!

The RVGEEKS have posted several videos showing how to convert to leds using strips and/or tubes. Here is their site: How-To RV Videos From Long-Term Full-Timers - TheRVgeeks

12v LED Replacement Lights

I watched the RvGeeks video, then did my own easy DIY replacement project using these Amazon materials:

LED Strip Lights
LED Strip Connectors

Strips can be trimmed to size at the cut marks. Connectors make for very simple 12V wiring. And as WindsorBill cautioned, I cut out and removed the original fluorescent ballasts. (Whether you bypass or remove the ballasts will depend upon your particular fixtures -- do what's easiest for you.)

As I recall, it took me about an hour to convert six fluorescent fixtures.

I also converted all my 12V halogen fixtures using these:

LED replacement bulbs -- Pin type

And I swapped the 12V incandescent bulbs with these:

LED replacement bulbs -- Wedge type

The only caveat is these non-fluorescent bulbs do not dim. But who cares? I never used the dimmers anyhow.
