Ceiling Rope Lighting

I'm going through my "new to me" 2006 signature. Some segments of the ceiling rope lights are out. Has anyone replaced the rope lights? Where did you get replacement. Anyone replace them with LEDs? Were you still able to use the dimming function through the intellitec?

Thanks

Carl.

I just replaced some of our original LED rope lights. The ones around the bathroom and kitchen baseboard were pretty easy. I removed the originals and spliced in a new LED string.
I used these 12V LED lights. They are slightly brighter than the originals and I'm not sure they work with a dimmer.

The ones in the ceiling are a little more work. You can use a different tube type LED light string, or insert these LED strip lights into clear vinyl tubing. You can lower the AC duct covers to access the wiring on the top side.

I used these around my windows. They are a little brighter than the incandescent lights.

My '05 Patriot has ceiling accent lights that are recessed in a removable ceiling panel. These accent lights are controlled by an on/off switch. I replaced them with color changing dimmable lights (controlled by a remote) - I dont have the Intellitec system in my coach.

I Used these https://www.ledsupply.com/led-strips...remote-control (except I bought two LED strips and the controller separately).
I also added an in-line power conditioner/stabilizer for extra insurance. I had to get it at another store (I can find the name if your interested).

I lowered the ceiling panel and installed the flexible light strip over the existing accent/rope lighting. I used the same power wires and just put the power conditioner and remote control module in line with the LED strip and power feed.
