Central Vacuum not working

While cleaning the coach, the central vacuum quit working. I figured because there was too much other stuff in operation, the breaker tripped. Sure enough, the breaker had tripped. Even after resetting the breaker, the vacuum still doesn't work. What am i missing?

Bag full?

What do you mean by "still doesn't work"? It has no suction even with the motor running or the motor won't run?

Push the breaker all the way to the off position and then turn back on to properly reset.

If the breaker powers other items, do they work? If it is only for the vacuum then diagnostics are in order. I'd check for power at the feed at the vacuum, and if there is power there, then the vacuum may be at fault. If no power, start tracing back by checking at the breaker output terminal.

Everything else on the breaker works. Strangely enough, DW just tried it again and it works! This morning it didn't and i haven't done anything to change it.

There might be a thermal protector built inside the vacuum. If it overheats, it needs to cool down and will reset automatically.

Yep, you are spot on Bill. Had an a/c repair service come out. He told me the same thing. Thanks everyone for your help. Another great job.
