Changing air filter

Hi

Has anyone ever changed an air filter for a Holiday Rambler. I have a 2008 Neptune in which I wanted to change the air filter. I have located the air filter, but I wanted to know if you can pull out the old filter and push in the new filter; or itís a twist? Can anyone provide any insight as to how to change the air filter. The filter that my unit requires is a P527484. Thank you.

What engine/chassis? My HR Scepter 40 has a filter that comes in it's own housing, which has to be changed in its entirety.

My air filter is similar, filter is enclosed in a sealed metal housing.

I found a photo of the filter number you quoted, and it might not be correct for your coach.
Where did you get the filter number?

AL2022,
I looked up that filter number you posted and it is the type that the filter cartridge slides into a housing.

Not sure where you found that number, but most of the monaco's used a canister type filter. The filter and housing are one.

You might have the correct one, but Double check. I know my manual listed the wrong filter part number.

Hi the filter number I found on the actual filter itself. I called the Rev group in which they gave me a different filter number which was different from what I found. The interesting thing is that they said that it’s the same filter/part number.

I found that number on the actual filter itself. So you are saying that it just pulls out and slides in, or do you have to twist it out.

It’s a road master chassis with a Cummins engine.

Our 01 Ambassador used a similar filter cartridge. You just remove the cover and pull the filter out and replace with the new one if memory serves. Clean everything well before removing to keep the area as clean as possible for installation. Hope this may help. Happy Trails Bert

Al if your filter housing doesn't come apart , in the manner Bert described , please post a photo of the housing showing the spot where you got the P/N.

Yeah, I was surprised recently when I read Monaco used replaceable filters in some of their DP models!

Wish they had in mine! These disposable Ecolites are getting expensive up here!

Yep, here too.

I replaced mine in 2019, it was $106 us. I see now on amazon it's nearly $160. Probably worse where you are.
