in the 1. fill position the fresh tank holding fills just fine

and once full I turn the valve to position 2.closed the water and the water pumps works fine from the holding tank until empty.

My issue is and took me a while to catch on to, but even when hooked to city water and valve in the # 2 pos with good water pressure and volume at the city connection hose, just after a few Days ( depends on water volume used ) I notice low water pressure / airation and the fresh water tank is empty again.

Also with the valve is in the ( position #2) and the fresh water tank is empty I have little to no water pressure ...with or without the water pump running.

So Im guessing maybe a stuck check valve? and wondering your opinions ?…and the location of this check valve ?...is it in the gate valve seen in the pics I posted?

Im currently on the road for a while and internet service is very limited so may be a bit before I respond back.

Thanks in advance

when you're in position #2, with the city water pressure hooked up, do you leave your water pump on?

If I leave my pump on, it will take from the fresh tank and run it dry. If I leave my pump off, it will allow water to come direct from campground.

With the Water pump on

I believe that youre on it , that being said the water pressure is much lower than with my pump running when in the closed position.

Again I think you are on to it, what threw me a curve it says this right form the HR owners manual

Many thanks and I will keep an eye on it, but believe that my issue is now resolved

Happy Trails

Right you are!
Found that at a park with low pressure. Figured I would run the pump as well to boost the pressure. Was surprised when I found my tank almost empty.

If you read the documents it has a note that the city water connection has a built in pressure regulator.

I had a chronic problem with low pressure on city and had to run the pump for showers etc. Turned out it was a bad regulator. I took it out and it works fine. I rebuilt it and now have it on the hose feeding the coach (much easier to get at if I fails again).

Similar problem in our coach.
Replaced the check valve and pressure regulator.
Fixed.....
Just a place to start.

Do you have a handle as the one shown above? Your profile says you have a gulfstream. Is that correct? I see you're fairly new, it is possible your in the wrong forum? This is for monaco coaches.

BTW, welcome to IRV2.
