Cleaning the Power Cord End?

I think I read on here at one time that if you put the power cord male in some vinegar it would clean?
I polish mine with steel wool once in a while.

Vinegar works. Takes a while. Wipe off contacts with WD-40 and they stay clean longer. I've found WD-40 to be great for all kinds of electrical connections.
