With your experience you will be a valuable resource here. Diesel pushers are basically the same as class 8 over the road trucks and have some systems unique to heavy duty equipment. Most of us had a steep learning curve when we jumped into big campers.

Clockspring????
My horn and my cruise control BOTH stop and start working at the same time. This happens over and over. Doesn't this HAVE to be clockspring. Happens at exactly same time. Can't find a bad fuse or relay. THANKS SO MUCH !!!!!!!!

Forgive me ahead of time, I have been working on cars and trucks since the late '70s What is everyone talking about? What is a Clockspring? Note, I do repair old clocks too and have been known to replace clock springs in clocks, never heard of one on a car.

Do you have a Smart Wheel? https://www.vipwheels.com/technical-support
If so you should follow their troubleshooting guide.

Our Cruise control stopped working on our last trip, Then on the way back we noticed the horn wasnt working either... 2007 Outlaw on Ford F53 Chassis.
Replaced the clockspring. Easy 1/2 hour job. (made my own wheel puller)
It took care of the Cruise Control, But still no horn..
So on to problem #2.. I hate electrical problems...

fuse first, relay, horn, then button. The order I would check things.

It is the mechanism that allows the electrical signal from the "rotating" steering wheel switches (or just the horn button on non-smart wheel steering wheels) to pass to the "stationary" steering column/shaft. Sort of "wiper/sliding contacts".

As the OP who posted this on the Monaco Owners Forum I am wondering how the thread got hijacked by non Monaco owners? I don't answer on Owner Forums for vehicles I do not own and cannot figure out why others do. It completely screws up the thread with non-pertinent useless information for the intended group. It happens frequently and I don't get it.

It's my fault this time. I apologized, I was basically lurking in this forum looking for info on my Monaco 5th wheel and I replied to something I should not have. This was a LONG tiime ago though.
If you think this is something new you should see other forums. Some start a mechanical discussion on an Audi fuel injection and 20 minutes later folks are discussing their fishing weekend or battery replacement on a Honda.
Only way to police a forum is build your own or charge top dollar and kick out folks like me.

@hypoxia, TTD, Bill767, Wow! You guys impress me. Just read thru the Douglas Autotech 1900043 instructions and it seems pretty tricky. Hoping it's not as complicated as that looks. Further advice will be appreciated.
