Thanks billjill. we go see/inspect the MH tomorrow. I have an idea, bear with me. If DW says the step is too high; small step is 6.5" high, tub is 21" high, I will build a 2'x2'x 6.5" high filler-step to sit between that step and commode-room door when she showers.
CountryB, something is amiss, your links take me to your onedrive, but a blank page.

Should look like this:

Thanks that still didn't turn out right though.
However, we just returned home from looking through that MH, it is not as advertised, it has about $5, body damage unseen in the pictures, and the interior is in sad shape IMO, with water damage to the bottom of the vanity cabinet in the commode room extending to the bedroom paneling on the back-side of that cabinet, several doors have broken latches, several non-working switches and a Fantastic Fan. living room carpeting looks like you had it in your workshop for a year of so. Dings in woodwork in every room, not something I expected to see in MH with 35,500 miles.
The salesman was rather unhappy when I gave my overview of the MH's condition and explained the whirlpool tub was far too high for my 5' DW to step into ( tub 21", that step 7.5"X6" high) shoot, it was very inconvenient for me.
To top that, they offered $28K for our MH, and $61,8xx difference. For someone younger, with many skills, this would be a good fixer-upper, as the chassis appeared to be in good condition.
We want to thank everyone who replied with suggestions and advice!

It just goes to show how pictures can make anything look good.
There's one out there for you, Ray. You'll know it when you see it. I looked for the past 3 years, every mid to upper level diesel from 2012 on. Looked local, in MI, IN (Mt Comfort to be exact) & TN. Just about pulled the trigger more than once, but I just didn't have that "warm fuzzy", so walked. The one we got just fell in our laps. I knew as soon as I stepped inside, it was the one.

Seems like the woman always knows. DW picked out our present MH, after we inspected this Beaver Patriot she gave me that look. By my quick calculations it would require at least $10K to bring it back to good condition. Repairing the aluminum body bay doors isn't easy or cheap.
We've decided to keep our present MH for the duration. I'll keep maintaining it, and upgrading stuff that fails.

Don't give up because of one bad apple. RVTrader lists 19 2004-2009 Beaver Patriots for sale. When searching for a used motor home you need to search nationwide.
https://www.rvtrader.com/Beaver-Patr...1&vrsn=results
Best of luck!

That list might be more like 16. Scratch the one Ray looked at @Mt Comfort & the one Patriot Thunder for sale by Sell My RV Today is the exact same coach (right down to the pictures) posted by Pop's RV just 2 listings down. That appears to be a scam with the undercut price. The one for Terry's RV is listed twice.
Maybe one of those in that search could be yours, Ray?

Nope, Lori now we have made a decision to keep our Ultimate Freedom MH until we can no longer travel. Our MH is in excellent condition, I have been upgrading things, have spent about $6K on new exhaust manifold+related stuff, total alignment, new tires, new air filter, new shocks, new steering stabilizers, LED lighting, changed oil N filters, transmission oil N filters, and other stuff I cannot recall. I now have only a few things to repair/fix, like Sony 10 disc CD changer has no sound, 3 fogged windows, padded dash needs recovered.
It has 47,xxx miles, and drives more like my Silverado pickup than a MH now. Yep It's a keeper. Sales brochure in my sig. I 'bout had apoplexy when they offered me $28K for it as trade-in.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, our dreaming days are past though.

Your Freedom is a beautiful coach & looks as if brand new. No need to change if you're happy. Sometimes it takes thinking the grass is greener & upon looking elsewhere, they ain't all they're cracked up to be. Now you've got all that extra $$ to put into your coach.
