I noticed my house batteries weren't being charged when I drove, found the relay contacts weren't closing, but the coil was working. The original relay has copper contacts that were notorious for failure, the new relay has silver contacts which don't seem to fail. The relay was about $55 delivered.

wish I knew why; but I believe it was one of the monaco techs that told me that the house batts would not charge as quick while driving
