Your need to identify what fluid you are dealing with FIRST.
There is a BIG difference in the color of the fluid between Coolant and Diesel Fuel.
I recently experienced a major
Coolant leak breakdown while on my way to Cummins Northwest in Coburg to replace my Coolant Shutoff Valve which was leaking.
Based on my experience and recent heater hose failure, I would remove the small narrow engine cover over the step in front of the closet and look closely at the two 3/4 inch heater hoses that are encased in black plastic loom.
My split heater hose was caused by an over zealous tech who had installed a zip-tie WAY too tight around the hose which eventually softened it until it finally failed. The zip-tie caused a restriction in the hose like a partial blockage causing that section of hose to swell, overheat and slowly deteriorate.
Depending on exactly where the zip-tie is placed and the possible split in the hose it could drip in either direction or both.
The hoses are at the rear of the engine rocker cover.
BTW, the same Cummins tech who repaired the hose and installed the Coolant Shutoff Valve ALSO found my lift pump leaking. You had better check that REAL closely too because if not caught in time it could take out your CAPS fuel pump system which is extremely costly to repair.
