Also Source Engineering in Veneta, OR. They produce many aftermarket/upgraded components for Monaco Coaches. Jim Walls is the main contact: 458-207-9442, jim@sourcerv.com.

Bought mine from Source Engineering in OR. Jim is a great person to speak to, former engineer for Monaco. Only problem is the replacement tank is a custom welded boxy aluminum product and takes some effort to install, plus you have to make your own brackets. I used a 1” wide x 3/8” thick aluminum bar and bent & drilled it to make two brackets. I recall in previous articals on this site of others using a surge tank from a big rig junk yard as replacements. Sourced from a Peterbilt or Kenworth, tanks are really good looking, cylindrical, but takes a bit of fabricating to install. But from what pictures were posted, very nice.

We replaced ours with a CLow tank a couple of years ago, I couldn’t see the coolant level due to it’s age and with age it just made sense to replace it before it failed on the road, I chose the CLow tank due to the sight tube on the side to monitor coolant levels.

I had patched this old one twice. First with Dow marine sealant, and the second time it was leaking where the brass fittings thread into the top of the tank. I tried KB Weld epoxy and it cracked again. Time to replace with new.
Thanks to all who replied.
