Cooling fan

2006 windsor engine compartment cooling fan will not shut down after engine is shut down and the only way to stop it is to turn off the house battery switch. Is there a thermal switch somewhere and what is the aux fan for?

Could you post some pictures of this, almost sounds like this is a modification from previous owner.

After you shut off the house batteries and turn them back on does the fan restart???

Tom check out this thread, suspect your expensive fan control has failed (they are prone to fail) most replace with a wax valve , it's a very dependable fan controller.

Did someone install a electric 12v fan system?
The wax valve, controls hydraulic pressure to the fan in most cases......to control the fan speed.......per coolant temperature.

I understand 12 vdc controllers to the ECM being used...........but how is the "Fan driven".....? hydraulic pressure......from the engine running?
Maybe the OP is talking about the A/C condenser fan? 12 V fan......

Yeah, he apears to be asking about a fan thats not his radiator fan.
Cant see the house batteries having anything to do with that. Should be hyd driven.

On some of the later model coach's Monaco had a grill one could install above the motor compartment door to aid in bedroom cool down. As to the OP problem there is either a manual switch installed between the coach batteries or a temp switch or both. Where is a good question as most systems were owner installed.

On the 06 Winsdor the hydrolic fan cools the engine coolant , CAC, Hyd cooler and AC condensor. He will have to fix or buy a new fan controller and most folks convert to the losswax controller.
