I am going to have to trace the wiring and see if that tells me something. Its a lot easier to do now with the rads removed.

Since I own a junk yard I thought I would venture out the back and have a look. Here’s a radiator grate from a city bus. They had the same idea.

Well got the new cores home yesterday now the task begins again. Reassemble the project. Follow along as I will post more pictures as I go. Waiting for the AC CONDENSER and hoses from SOURCE ENGINEERING.

Awesome Joe. It will feel so satisfying every time you fire up to go somewhere and it all works!
If you have done your work right, going back together is easier than taking apart. Been there done that with this project!

Well I know this has been a while since I started this project. It’s been a pain plus a real good challenge. Happy to say the rads are in , lines are installed and fluids added. Nothing on the floor so all is good. On to road testing this week.

Well this is what I did for my coach. I saw it in another Beaver with this configuration and did the same to my coach. I only have 1 hydraulic drive motor fan and before installing the New exhaust fans my temps would run 200 degrees. After I installed the fans I have dropped 10 degrees to 190. Just thought there was a lot of stagnate air in the engine compartment that needed help getting out, and it did help my situation. Plus if I get into traffic I manually turn them on just to keep the air moving through the engine compartment

Nice. We have done something similar although not quite the same. i will get a picture today.

I have not posted this before out of embarrassment but now that I am closer to completion I felt it needs to be known. Keep your rads clean if you travel in the north on salted roads. The fans draw in a lot of road salt and the damage is immense.

Nice work Joe. Yes, it is a bit of work to get all that done and in.

I have no idea how you got that in without having the coach way up in the air! I had mine on big blocks of wood and still had a tough time getting it in there. I had the M-11, maybe it was a different radiator stack?

Either way, congratulations on getting it all in there!

I would not be embarrassed about that old radiator, you did not know and yes, that thing is a mess!

1doodadd, I can't get the image to blow up, are the fans mounted to the rear door?

We actually stood the rad package up lined up with the coach and raised it with blocks under the hydraulic stands. We just got it high enough to slide the rads while upright under the back body. We put 8 jack stands under various frame areas to support it in the event of a stand failure. 3 people 2 pushing and one with a pull rope fastened to the rad mount pulling from under the coach. I have been sore since Saturday. Once slide into place we used 2 motorcycle jacks to raise the rads 16 inches (max lift on motorcycle jacks) and then a 3 ton pump jack in the center of the package to get it the rest of the way. Once the 2 big bolts are installed we all sighed relief.

Again, great work!

After looking more closely at the picture I think other than a different intercooler (CAC) they were the same setup. My CAC was bolt together from JB Radiator Specialists (The OEM). I rebuilt that with new seals and hardware. I had to beg pretty hard to get the parts from them as they did not want to sell them to anyone but Monaco and Monaco refused to order them.

I think two of us took it out and three of us put it back in, or maybe the other way around. Either way, a hefty job getting it stood up under there and started up.

Keep an eye on things a few thousand miles to be sure nothing blows apart or whatever and you should be good from no on!

You are correct on the bolted together part. Source Engineering told me that's the way they come now. The guy here just copied the original method and welded them together.
