Was it hard to get into, most of the Costco's in our area you can hardly maneuver a car in the parking lot.

If you go to Costco.com and pull up the locations it will let you know what locations have propane.

I normally buy my propane at local coin/token car wash for $2.79 gal. It's a big place has twelve car bays and two 60' truck bays.

I just got off the phone with Costco Member Services, after trying costco.com, and was told that the only way Costco sells propane is within and with twenty gallon tanks. Where did you get propane by the gallon from Costco?

The only gage that I have for the propane level is one of those gages with a toggle switch. Press the top of the switch and a line goes accross the gage telling the battery high-medium-low. Press the bottom and the same line supposedl shows propane level - high-medium-low. I've had this motorhome for almost a year and a half. We've traveled in the motorhome boondocking probably 8 weeks in that time (more with hookups). The propane has been used for the refrigerator and cooking, as well as for the hot water heater. The furnace has been used both while traveling in the motorhome and for heat when my kids have come to visit. The motorhome is our spare bedroom. My problem is that the gage still reads full propane tank. It has worked correctly when checking the battery. Is it possible that we've not used a measurable amount of propane?

Not true. At least at the Myrtle Beach Costco 😄. The member service counter was unsure so they let me talk to the propane guy and he said sure bring the coach on over we will fill it. They had the propane area laid out well but Costco's parking lots are not always the easiest to get in and out of.

Costco is supposed to be adding Diesel to all of their new Costco's and will add it to old Costco's as they upgrade the pumps and tanks but the problem at some locations as we all know is ACCESS for our large RV's.

We are in Bakersfield CA. One of the Costcos here added Diesel and Propane. The diesel is about the same price as most low cost stations in the area but the propane is about 1 dollar less than any other outlet. They sell propane by the gallon the filling station is near the tire center.

AtlantaRick and I went to the "new" Costco in Cumming Ga. The propane fueling center is just outside the tire shop. According to the tech, they get a lot of RV business. They are setup so it is pretty easy to get in and out with your RV. I filled my 41' Safari there a few weeks ago with no problem.

I've noticed other Costco's are retrofitting their fuel centers to facilitate both Diesel and Propane.. the one in Alpharetta Ga., is doing so at present.

CrazyKnight - From what I read on this forum from you and other posters IS untrue that Costco doesn't sell bulk propane, but what I said is that the customer service guy I spoke with and his supervisor said that. I stand by my statement, but the untruth was theirs, not mine.

itdave - It's great that Costco in Bakersfield does sell bulk propane, but which Costco in Bakersfield? We have been at the one near the intersection of 99 and 58 a few times on our way to Arizona or to Los Angeles. We've even parked overnight there - way at the side of the parking lot where we saw a few other motohomes. And that they're adding thaat to other locations as they are upgrading is also good news.

Winnipeg is pre pay, any quantity you want, so long as it's 5, 10, 20 or 30 lbs.I don't think they can do RVs, just portable tanks.
