We have a 2006 Cayman XL which we purchased new and were in the middle of a trip when we suddenly heard whistling coming from the passenger side up front. When we got off the highway, found that the windshield had actually slipped down on the passenger side at the top enough to creat a wind gap (!) and was now cracked across the upper corner on the driver's side. We caulked with silicone & taped until we got to a Monaco dealer who told us it looked like a manufacture/install problem but the brackets were intact & it was safe to finish our trip. Of course, Monaco is saying the rig is out of warranty & they won't pay but my research is showing many, many people complaining of cracks in these one piece windshields. Why isn't Monaco doing something?

Hi YehtiCoPilot.

Welcome to the forum ( Hi-hi, I beat MM to the "welcome greeting" I could get a slap on the wrist now )

Unfortunately I think the answer is very simple: I would cost a lot of money to recall all the coaches that are likely to suffer this problem, and Monaco don't want this large expense - especially now where the marked is tight.

I sympathise with you and you problem.

Thaks for the welcome! I'm happy to have found y'all! And, of course it's the money...it's always the money.
Rules the world doesn't it?
