HI: New to Forum. Have a 01 Safari Serengeti w Cummins 350. My cruise control is INOP. The Silver Leaf shows a BR code..'Brake On'. I have checked the brake sw, setting is OK.All tail lights work. Have checked the ground connections. At one time the BR code would go away and the cruise would funtion as normal. Now, its a solid problem.
No way to find a pattern. Have also swapped out any relay that is associated with cruise control in the relay/wiring 'box' below in the frt drv area by the wheel well.
Any ideas? Thx, Bob

Roberto,

Is your engine (exhaust) brake switch on? When that switch is on the cruise control is disabled. If it's not on, you may want to troubleshoot the circuit that disables the cruise control from that switch.

Is there a switch on the dash/steering wheel to turn the CC on and off? If so there might be a problem there.

glennb100: Exhaust brake is off.
Roberto
Pusherpilot: CC sw can be monitored thru the silverleaf. I can see CC become active, but the BR(brake) indicator on the silverleaf overides any commands.

HI: I guess at this point I would like anyone familiar with this model Safari(01 Serengeti)to post a .jpg file or sketch of the cruise schematic...if available. I have tried Monaco, but the old records are essentially gone.
Thx, roberto

On our 04 Vacationer(gas), the CC went out, and the tech found out it required an adjustment down by the break pedal on the cut-off switch. Have you tried this switch? s/Toby

Toby: Yes, first thing I looked for to fix the CC. Wish I could report otherwise.
Thx
