Cruise control problems

We are new to us 1999 Holiday Rambler Endeavour MH owners and having a great time but as with any thing new we didn't ask the right questions. The question I missed was where are the maintenance manuals? So when coming back from Vegas and the cruise control quit I was on my own and when I took it to a mechanic at home they did there best ,but with out the schematic they where lost. They did find that the controller on the signal was functioning properly and the brake switches where working, but there scanner showed that there was still a switch someplace that indicated that the brakes where applied but couldn't locate it.they did find the buzzer and low air switch by the air dryer and the two senders on the brake pedal but there is one more somewhere! Do they have any more that are coach related ie if the slide is out or jacks down. If any one could help with this, your knowledge would be great.Regards sore leg in Alberta

If you have an exhaust brake they can have a brake light switch that might be triggering the CC. What brand of CC do you have? Does the CC work to allow a fast idle of the engine for airing up and warming up the engine?

Welcome
Like stated above if the engine brake is on (you should have a light on the switch) you will not be able to use the cruise control. I found out the hard way. At least that the way mine workes.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I don't know if I can idle up engine with cruise there is a switch that has been removed from the dash that says to idle up and down .As far as what type of cruise I have ,it reminds me of the older chev controllers that you slide the switch to engage and push on the end to activate.

I do have an exhaust brake so there must be a switch somewhere that deactivates the cruise just don't know where to look. Will keep looking but still in the dark fumbling around.

What cruise control do you have? The reason I ask which cruise control is if it is made by Bendix then you probably will not be able to find replacement parts for it. You may have to change it out and the last time we looked it was $600.

Unfortunately the manuals and schematics I have I don't think would work for the HR. Dynasty or Signature yep they will but I don't think they will for yours. You can look at my blog and download them thou to see if they will.
