Angry Cut Toad electric cord

I went thru a dip and drug the back end of the coach and partially cut the cord to the toad lights. I repaired the cord and checked with my multi meter and all connections are good. The left turn signal and brake light work fine on the coach but there is no power to the left turn and left brake light at the plug on the coach. Right side and power all work fine. Are there fuses for lights for the plug only??? What else could it be???

Thanks
Dave

Dave,
On my coach, the trailer lights are separately fused from the coach tail lights. Check the fuse box in your rear electrical bay for blown fuses.

If all connections are good you may have blown a fuse in your toad when/if the wires crossed.

All lights in the car are good. I will check the rear run bay for blown fuses. I wonder if it is the wiring adapter for separate stop and turn signals has failed???

Disconnect the plug at the toad, and test at that end. If there is power at the toad end then problem lies with the toad. If no power at the plug, then test again at the RV plug. As someone else said earlier, many RV's have a separate fuse at the plug just for this reason, so that is the cord is damaged it won't take out the Coach's lights.Good luck...electrical problems usually are a big pain!

Talking Got it fixed

An update on my left stop and tail light problem. I turned out to be the tail light converter. It must of got fried when the cord got partially cut. Talked to Monaco (Robert) and he had excellent info for me... There are no fuses just for the 7 way plug for the toad. Traced power to the converter but none coming out... The new converter was a little different as it needed to be grounded to work, no ground wire on the old one.....
