Dash and Transmission indicator problems
I have an 07 HR Scepter 42 PDQ and am having some instrument and transmission indicator problems. Had an a 8 hour trip with no issues.
We camped 4 nights and then when we started up to move to next spot, the following problems occurred: no speedometer, odometer mileage indicator was flashing, ABS light would not go out, ATC light would not go out and the transmission indicator lights would not come on and just had what looked like two lightning bolts. Transmission worked fine.
Anyone have anything similar happen and know a cure ?
Thanks.

Are you able to move the coach now??
Same thing happen to me. Getting ready to leave on a trip, parked the coach in front of the house to hook up the Jeep and pack. Tried to start the rig and nothing, would not turn over and the transmission display went crazy then nothing. Had to have it towed to a shop, $3500 later we had a new ECU and everything was fine except my bank account. No idea what

Yes. It starts and runs fine except it won't show what gear I'm in and there is no speedometer to show my speed.

You might try disconnecting the battery cables for ~10 minutes. This will reset the transmission ECU.

Sounds like a ground issue. The ABS light has nothing to do with the ECU. All the light indicators grounds are daisy changed together. So a bad ground messes them all up.

Tried the battery disconnect but it didn't do anything. It's now in the shop so we'll see what they come up with as a solution.

Do you have power and ground wires connected directly to the battery with their own inline fuses. I have 6 sets with one being the transmission. Worth checking.

Exactly....read my post "broken down in yellowstone". Same thing. Bad wire from the + side, then to a fuse in the batt compartment which feeds the TCU. My Manaco had four lines, it was the second one from the right side in, but I replaced all four. No further issues. The lightening bolt is the giveaway...I know what you are describing. If you get it to come on, check the codes, you will have a D1300 code or something like that, and it translates to temporary loss of power to the TCU. Shop told me I needed a new $3k TCU, when I really needed 18" of 14 gauge wire and a new fuse holder.

I'm a real novice at this, but if it's a fuse issue at the battery, I'm sure I can tackle that. Here is a picture of how the wires are connected to the batteries. Can you tell if there are fuses there ?

You need to get the codes out of the transmission. If you have a push button shifter you can turn the key on then press the up and down arrows at the same time then release. You might have to do this a couple of times until it says (d 1 ) followed by four numbers. That code will keep repeating until you press and release the "mode" button. You'll then get (d 2) followed by four numbers. You can continue until you either get to (d 5) or you get a dash.
