Sorry, guys. Mechanic said it was a bigger job than he expected and when he crawled out of the back about 8pm and announced that some bolts would require an AM visit to the hardware store we put in a pin in it. Pump is out and everything is ready to go back in. He should be here any minute and hoping just a few hours until go time. Fingers remain firmly crossed!

Frank, hopefully you have pictures for those of us in the cheap seats. Good luck.

This is like waiting for a grand baby to be born.

I can not imagine working on the coach in the snow. I start freezing when the temps gen into the 50's

Hope you get it going Frank, we are all rooting for you.

Denver mobile mechanic

Frank, wishing you nothing but the best. Absolutely love your attitude and resolve. If the mobile mechanic takes good care of you would you mind sharing his information for those of us that live in Colorado? Might be a good contact to have.

Hey all - It's running!!!! Took my guy soooo long because the timing jumped when he pulled the pump out and he wanted to make absolutely sure he wasn't off.

The only issue is that we couldn't find one of the clamps for the air intake and because of that I'm making no boost. Should be an easy fix tomorrow am.

And... Of course.... I pulled out of my storage yard and made it two blocks before I came to some railroad tracks. Train completely stopped and I've been sitting here for 35m.

So I'm back "on the road" with absolutely no where to go and even if I could go there it would be at a snail's pace.

But it runs!!!

Awesome Frank. Lots of people owe you and are now installing after market pumps because of you. I am one of them. Dinner on me when you get back to SP.

Glad you're up and running! Be sure that the "non-clamped" portion of the intake can't allow dirt to enter the engine!
Any final breakdown on cost? Also, you may want to give a shout out to the mechanic if you are happy with his work.

Once again, glad you're up and running again!

Dumb question could the timing have slipped on the old pump causing a no run? I am not mechanical inclined on the inner workings of a internal combustion engine.

You had said that the injectors where getting fuel. Could it have been at the wrong point ie timing?
