If you are close to a Rush Truck Center they have a sale going on. I picked up a cartridge for $34 and change. They can cost upwards of $60 or so, a pretty good deal. Easy job but a strap wrench is needed to break it loose. The box it came in said to change it yearly. Gulp first time I've changed it out. Manual says every 2 years and I even went past that.

Mark, most people say a couple of years and some don't realize it exists. I change mine every year. I've paid as high as $75.00 on one occasion. That is one of the three spare filters I carry. If you have a problem with it, it's just like a fuel filter, you're not going anywhere! I've been buying them lately from Spartan.
P.S. Got the check.....

Actually Tom (AK) on our model and yours its just behind the left rear tire and then behind the radiator (condenser) unit in there. You will need your barrel key to get it open.

Don I have a bypass I keep in our coach made out of a pipe T with the air line ftg installed and a place for the governor sensing line to hookup because with our Haldex if it ruptures it wont help to change the filter because the whole filter case and filter would have to be changed.
I do have the old type air filter Haldex
(filter kit DQ6026)that Uses a Disiccant & a
coalescing filter, if the coalescing filter ruptures you will be stuck on the side of the road if you dont something to bypass the filter.
The last kit I bought was $115. DQ6026 + ship and I have always changed every 2 yrs, the filter that you use I believe is a Meritor Wabco R950011 and I have seen them on E bay for $29.?? + ship and this guy has them on e bay often.
When my next filter change is due I will change to the Meritor Wabco R955205 that uses 950011 air filter because the cartage is so much cheaper, in two changes it will pay for it self.

Darn! Just my luck....I didn't get a barrel key to open up the transmission radiator. I've always wondered if I should have along with all of the other keys. Where can I get one?

Our dealer gave us ours! Maybe you should contact the dealer you bought your rig from.

Don,
Looks like Rush will be getting another visit. Thanks for the tip on its importance. One of those items that "out of sight, out of mind"

Bill-Ha ha, you had me going there,....really! One can't always be too sure with Monoco.
SacsTC - thanks for bringing my blood pressure back down.
M.M. - Nah, I don't think I'm going back up there for awhile, especially since I've grown accustomed to the warm weather down here.
Thanks all, - AKBrick

Walter L...I meant to invite you to join the Monaco Owners Forum here on your first post when it came in under email notification - but it disappeared. ... oh well... Can I throw some "Monaco karma" under your name... it is free and it makes it easier for people to know what brand RV you have!
