Dewald slideout problem

My 2002 Windsor has a rear slideout that is having trouble running in and out . It sounds like a slip clutch, It has a Dewald DN13461 system and I calld the company and parts are no longer avalible. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it. I have called several large salvage yards with no luck so far.

Charlie, I think first you need to determine exactly what the issue is. Then you can either repair the worn part, try to find a newer one, or have one made.

RV salvage yards are very reluctant to sell individual parts as they try to sell the entire system. I needed a ladder and found several but they would rather sell the entire rear cap.
Best of luck!

Hi Charlie , I have an 03 Windsor , pretty much the same as your 02 .
Before you condemn the gear mechanism look at the thread in Quick tips & mods
It is one of the stickies near the top of the index page .

Look at page 77 then starting with post 1070 here is a link if it will work .

Also look farther down on this page for a box labeled similar threads

If the bed is going in and out but you hear a ratcheting at the end of the stroke that is normal. There is a clutch type mechanism that lets the gears slip.

I've learned to release my switch to limit how much the jumping sound happens.
