My Monaco is a 2001 Knight that a replacement fuel cap that worked was a Gates 31615D Green Diesel fuel Cap Part # 74100077 - the fit was perfect and it has a click sound when fully turned and when removed feels secure.

This is the first day of the cap on - if there are any difficulties I will add that later, however, it appears to be just right.
