Diesel fuel prices influence your travels?

No ..........As I like to stay in one place a few days, before moving on. deSanford

So far no. Don't know what the future holds. $5 to $6 a gallon may.

Tough question to answer yes or no.

If we were still full time, I would have answered yes. We would travel less and stay in one place longer.

Now that we have a stick house and had planned to take an 8500 mile trip in a big loop up through Canada and down the eastern seaboard, we just bit our lip and hit the road in spite of the cost of fuel. Filling up in Canada at $1.39/liter ($5.25/gal) really did smart though.

Not really. We're full-timing and I estimated that the recently price spike (well, hopefully it's a spike) will cost an additional $500-$1,000/year if it holds. I'd rather not spend the extra money but it's not crippling. And for a recreational RVer the difference on a single trip doesn't really amount to all that much in the scheme of things.

I think we'll see a drop as we transition to winter, and until the world economy improves I don't expect there will be any sudden increases in oil prices (short of a war with Iran or something) so I don't think we're going to $5-$6 anytime soon... I hope...

My full-time plans include 5 dollars a gallon. If it is less I am putting it away for future increases. I will just start a fuel account and only use it for fuel.

With the "debt" bubble getting ready to burst, and the value of the dollar going down significantly the cost of everything may continue to go up. Food is up 50%, and fuel has doubled in the last 3 years. deSanford

In the United States?

I'm currently looking at $4.14 diesel and sure don't remember it being $2.07 three years ago.

I think it lasted for a week in April 2009. Things were so bad not even the truckers were buying it! LOL

The price does not effect how long we go for, but may effect how far we go.

We are paying $4.59 per gallon and have been hearing rumors it is still going to go up winter or not. Hope the rumors are wrong.

It usually goes UP in winter as people use it to heat their homes. deSanford

I've noticed that TRAVEL AMERICA, and Pilot/Flying J are going to be putting in thousand of Natural gas fueling stations. They must be anticipating traffic for them that would justify the investment, and I wonder what that will do to the price of Diesel Fuel.
