Diplomat 12 volt issue

Having issues with 12 volt power in 2001 diplomat... The other day I was replacing seal in electric flush toilet and arced the wires when plugging back in. 5 amp fuse blew at toilet. Now I have no lights or 12 volt power in bathroom. Then yesterday I was installing new awning strip lights, again crossed wires and now no power at awning. No fuses are blown at 12 volt panel.

There is a fuse panel in my bedroom as well as below the drivers side.

12 volt panel in bedroom. I also checked below driver side but had no bathroom out awning fuses there. In bedroom I had fuses for awning but it was not blown.

Go to the battery compartment and see if there is a large black box. A couple of wing nuts are holding the cover. There may be some self-resetting or resetable breakers in there. They would probably be about 1 inch wide, 1.5 inches long. Silver usually.

Besides the inline fuse at the toilet I also have a fuse in the bedroom 12 volt distribution panel that is for both the toilet and the awning.

I had checked the box in battery compartment and I have one relay in there, the other empty spots say solar and outdoor tv. My fuses in bedroom that are labeled awning and toilet are not blown.

Anyone know where ground is for 12 volt system? I have power at toilet but no lights in bathroom, no lights at kitchen, no lights in slide out, no power at awning. Kitchen, awning, and lights are all on slide together, bathroom is not.

Check the salesman switch somewhere near the front door, this shuts off the power to the 12 volt panel.

If that's OK I'd get your voltmeter and follow the power from the main disconnect through the connections. At some point there will be a ~60 amp circuit that feeds the 12 volt panel, make sure it's not tripped.

But I have 12 volt lights elsewhere, just not on passenger side. First bathroom lost then awning lost. Bedroom does have 12 volt even on passenger side. This all happened from hooking up awning lights and repairing electric toilet. Salesman switch or breaker issues would be whole 12 volt system I would say. Needing some info on building rv so that grounds can be checked. Wiring diagrams only show system not actual locations.

I recommend joining the Monacoers.org website. They have wiring diagram for a 2000 diplomat that may help with your issue.
In the browse/downloads/electrical wiring/ drawings sections.
It sounds as if a resettable fuse failed in the front run bay or possibly in the house battery bay. I’m not familiar with diplomats…. Sorry

I have diagrams but none show where things are located on actual unit, short of tearing into walls and following wires. Example is in back where 12 volt fuses are located there is no way to follow wires from them

You might have to use a fox and hound to try and trace the wire.

It might be as simple as a wire nut coming loose or ground coming loose.

On my coach the circuits are separate but the lights are all daisy chained.
