Do I have Gelcoat?

I have a 2000 38A Dip, and I am ready to start improving the exterior look on the unit. The decals look good, probably just need some good waxing.

The white sections of the sides, front and back are somewhat faded, and need some work.

Does anyone know if this vintage Monaco had a Gelcoat finish?

Would anyone have some firsthand experience with what products and methods they used to refinish the white, and a report on how their refinishing stood up to weather and time?

It's not a good idea to use wax on the decals it drys them out. Most recommend 303 protectant.
Meguiar's Marine & RV wax/cleaner (#50) does a great job on mildly oxidation of gel coat.

Before I would do anything I would call Monaco and ask them what finish it is . Mine is full paint with clearcoat and if I use a firberglass/gelcoat wax/cleaner it will ruin it.

As mentioned don't use wax on the decals as they will dry them out. 303 Protectant is a very good product for those. I assume you do not have any manuals on the care of the coach. That being said I would contact the mfr for their advice on what to use to brighten it up. If there is someone in your area that does fiberglass repair (qualified shop) you could have them take a look at it as well.
