Dock lighting bulb change to led & Door Bell Button

I want to change over my docking light bulbs to LED's

1. How do you access the bulb? The black portion is as hard a charcoal brickette ....and before I start prying , I want to be sure how they come out.Click image for larger version

2. If you have changed over your docking lights what led bulb were you happy with?

Also my door bell is inop so I figure I will start with a new door ball push button seeing that it has rust running out of it.( I cleaned it for this pic)

1. How do you remove it?

2. Is this button something that can be obtained from Home Depot or the likes?

Thanks in advance

If I remember right on the docking light it's got a plastic nut on the backside. The light is one big threaded tube. I don't believe there is a bulb that you can just change out. The whole fixture is the light. My doorbell is on the entry handle so I can't help you with that.

I removed my door bell button because my door bell was not working. You just pry it out. It has some spring clips on the sides to hold it in the hole tightly.
Use something to protect the coach surface and get something thin to slide under the button rim to pry it.
Actually my problem turned out NOT to be the button, but I found out my door bell box has batteries inside which were dead. I replaced them and it works fine now.
Not sure if yours is the same.
Iver.

The docking lights use an 890 bulb.

It would be best if you wash off the backside of the lamp and unscrew the large nut holding the assembly in. It is very difficult to replace the bulb in place. Once the assy is pulled out a bit, unplug the bulb wire connector. With the lamp out you will the be able to twist and remove the recessed bulb.

I lied. The docking light bulbs are 893, not 890. The index tab is reversed from one to the other.
