Dodged a bullet

Got back from my last trip and upon inspection found an auto reset circuit breaker completely burnt off the circuit board and the surrounding relays melted in the drivers front cargo bay. Very easily could have been a fire.

I think I can fix the circuit board. On first look it appears the heat melted some solder connections but did not damage the board itself.

Anyone know where to find the mini atm fuse socket to solder onto the board?

I was looking for the original fuse connectors (sockets) soldered on the circuit board. Hoping to keep the circuit board original looking.

Searching digikey and allied but no luck yet.

mhughes-

I'm curious. Which circuit did the resettable circuit breaker serve? What was its rating?

15a for the right rear brake and turn for both the coach and toad.

I suspect the toad connection has a short. Still I would expect the breaker to trip and not burn.

Thinking back, I was told that the right rear brake was dimmer than the left as I was preparing to leave the RV Park.

I might be wrong about the right rear brake. Electrical diagram for this coach shows it as "Cond Fan" 25a. I'll have to see when I get it repaired.

Interesting to note that the mini fuse block on the circuit board is only rated at 15a.

Are your boards exposed or in some sort of case?

The board is not in a case and open in the left front cargo bay. No cover.

I've repaired the circuit board and installed it back in the coach. I can post a few pictures if anyone is interested.

The point was that these boards are pretty simple and fairly easy to repair.

Here is what was left of the circuit breaker. Along with a pic of the circuit board with the fuse block burnt off (after cleaning). And a pic of it replaced.
