Door Hinges

We eventually will replace our bathroom door hinges again after replacing them about a year ago. They are 3 1/2" non-mortise chrome. The tiny teflon washers are falling out again and the door squeaks.

We can get the same type as before, but wonder if anyone has used something different or better. Thanks!

GoneFishin.....Mine has a full length piano hinge. If you can find the hinge, it should cover up the holes from your standard hinges.

Gonefishin - yes, we replaced ours for the same reason that you are now replacing yours. Also our hinges was screeching which was driving us nuts.

The original hinges could not be lubricated easy so we found some replacements where we could remove the pin. I have pull this out slightly on the photo.

We found the new hinges at Lowe's and the cost was minimal. These hinges actually cover the old screw holes from the original hinges.

15 minute job - go for it.

Thank you both, Don & Henrik, for the suggestions and your photos. It's helpful to see what others are using.
