Down with Aria Delux

Well I have now been hit with the busted Aria Deluxe 11 contagion. The wife was cleaning RV and flushed toilet. Without noticing the water continued to flow but the mechanism had not moved the flush gate. So the toilet overflowed all over the driveway. Can someone recommend a replacement keeping in mind this is in a 2001 Diplomat that has the boxed in water lines sitting tight to the right of the Aria currently in place. Most foot flush with high seat are RH foot pedal flush. We prefer the china bowl as well. Parts for the Aria are over $250 us which with our current exchange we add 30%.

We also had the Aria 11.
Due to the bolt pattern we were told we had to go to the
Thetford toilet. It was the exact same toilet WITHOUT the electrics.
It has the foot valve flush.

We put in a spacer plate made out of plastic.
The plate gets screwed to the floor.
The screws mounting the toilet go through the plate into the floor.

We found that using this plate we could have mounted most toilets.
We liked the porcelin large bowl so that was our reason for staying
with the same model. Water line matches up and we also installed
the rinsing adaptor line.

Have been a lot happier with the mechanical.

This year the cable on the foot pedal broke.
Called Thetford and the replacement comes with TWO cables
in the package......one for the pedal and one for the water valve.
We had to wait three weeks to get it and it was $94.00.

I asked Thetford if I could use the water line for the pedal and they said they were two different lines. Guess what.....both lines in the package are identical.

Made up a cable using a bicycle brake cable until I got the part.

My Aria II turned into a Boat Anchor back in 2010 after multiple motor/seal replacements. However, I was not going to purchase another Thetford product.

I chose the Sealand Magnum Opus electric toilet which is no longer available today. It required a different floor flange BUT has been trouble-free since the day I installed back in March 2010. That's over 6 years of bliss while sitting on the throne.
